About the Department

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.

Responsible for facilitating seamless communication and collaboration between central ministries and Invest India. This role requires a deep understanding of government policies and processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks.

Key Stakeholders:

  • Liaise with central ministries/ departments to facilitate policy support, research, and regulatory clearances.
  • Liaise with industry associations to gather industry feedback and foster a conducive investment environment.

Key Responsibilities

 

Stakeholder Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all key stakeholders, including central government officials,
  • and industry partners.

Policy Support and Research:

  • Provide advisory support to Central Ministries to aid in informed decision – making.
  • Leverage deep understanding of government policies and processes.

Industry Feedback:

  • Implement mechanisms for regular collection of feedback from industry stakeholders to capture comprehensive insights on regulatory challenges and market needs.
  • Analyze industry feedback to generate insights and recommendations to address regulatory bottlenecks.

Support for Investor Meetings:

  • Support Invest India teams in liaising with the relevant department to expedite clearances and approvals.

Events and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Organize and participate in roundtables, roadshows, and workshops with Central Ministries to foster a
  • collaborative environment.

Briefing Materials and Documentation Support:

  • Prepare talking points, DO letters and other collateral for senior officials, including Ministers and Secretaries.

Qualifications

 

  • Professional with 6-10 years of strong government relations, policy analysis and corporate affairs experience
  • along with managing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders at various levels.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced
  • environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of government processes, regulations, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy in work.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Educational Qualifications: Diploma or Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, International
  • Relations, or a related field, preferably from a reputed institution.
