About the Department

  • Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Outreach, Strategy & Marketing:

  •  Act as a primary point of contact for Indian companies, providing information on investment opportunities, government incentives, state and central procedures and other relevant information.
  •  Create and deploy outreach strategies sensitising Indian companies to services provided by Invest India.
  •  Organize investment promotion events, roadshows, and seminars to showcase investment opportunities in India
  •  Develop pitch decks, reports and other such collaterals highlighting major macro-economic reforms, ease of doing business measures, key investment projects and sectoral opportunities tailored to Indian companies.
  •  Collaborating with various teams across Invest India to tailor strategies according to the specific investment climate and opportunities pan India.

Investment Promotion:

  • Identify and target Indian companies with the aim of facilitation and handholding for greenfield projects and expansion.
  • Provide Indian Companies with information and analysis on investment opportunities, regulatory environment & government policies, and business ecosystems.

Networking & Relationship Building

  • Engage with key stakeholders including with government officials, businesses, industry leaders, and relevant associations to foster relationships and promote collaboration.
  •  Participate at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to expand the outreach network and stay updated on industry trends.

 

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to investments, including leads generated & investments facilitated.
  •  Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities

Qualifications

 

 . Minimum six years of experience in business development/research/ consulting/investment promotion, or a related field.

· Understanding of the Indian business environment, government policies, and investment landscape.

· Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with multiple stakeholders.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Experience in developing and executing marketing strategies.

· Proficiency in MS Office suite and familiarity with CRM software for data management and analysis.
