About the Department

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.

Key Responsibilities

The candidates hired shall be based at Invest India’s headquarter in New Delhi and will be part of IILB/ IPRS/ SLMS team and responsible for the following activities:

Geospatial Product Strategy and Vision:
Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the IILB platform, emphasizing the use of GIS technology and geospatial data.
Integrate geospatial intelligence into the platform to enhance location-based decision-making for users.

GIS Technology Integration:
Lead the integration of GIS technology into the IILB platform, ensuring seamless utilization of geospatial data for industrial land transactions.
Collaborate with GIS specialists and developers to implement cutting-edge geospatial solutions.

Product Development:
Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle with a focus on GIS technology integration.
Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to align product development with technological capabilities.

Feature Definition and Prioritization:
Define and prioritize features that leverage geospatial data, enhancing the platform's analytical capabilities.
Ensure that geospatial features align with market needs and user requirements.

User Experience and Design:
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create an intuitive and user-friendly geospatial experience within the IILB platform.
Conduct usability testing and gather feedback specific to GIS technology integration.

Stakeholder Management:
Engage with internal stakeholders, GIS experts, and external partners to gather input and align the product roadmap with business objectives.
Manage relationships with GIS technology providers and relevant geospatial data sources.

Data-Driven Decision Making:
Utilize geospatial analytics and user metrics to make informed decisions, track product performance, and optimize GIS features.

Continuous Improvement:
Implement feedback loops for continuous improvement, addressing user needs and technological advancements in GIS.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a tech-related field. 

4-5 years of proven experience in product management, with a strong background in GIS technology and geospatial data. 

In-depth understanding of the Indian industrial landscape. 

Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

Demonstrated ability to drive product success through data-driven decision-making.
