Rural Healthcare Challenge

Given the focus on Rural healthcare, Invest India and Mahindra Group joined hands to support startups that can address the opportunities and build a long-term solution for the Rural Healthcare sector. The partnership was announced as part of the launch of India – Korea Startup Hub by Shri Narendra Modi, Hon'ble Prime Minister of India on 21 February 2019. The Hub, hosted on Startup India’s Portal, is a one-stop online platform created to bridge the Indian and Korean startup ecosystems and facilitate cross border joint innovation between the two economies.

The program was open from 21 February 2019 to 21 April 2019 and received 190 entries (i.e. 178 from India and 12 from South Korea). The entries received came from 22 Indian states, with 58% of overall entries from startups with prototypes ready. Mahindra Group selected Chiron X as the winner for the challenge for their innovative thinking, scale of social impact and has awarded $ 10,000 as the prize money.
