About the Department
Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department of Promotion for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing support for framing, documenting of Maritime Vision 2030.
- Assistance in reducing the cost of transporting domestic cargo by optimising modal mix
- Assistance and suggestion to lower logistics cost of bulk commodities by locating future industrial capacities near the coast, improving export competitiveness by developing port proximate discrete manufacturing clusters and optimising time/cost of EXIM container movement.
Qualifications
- Experience in Maritime sector – Ports, Shipping, Waterways, Logistics sector sectors preferred
- At least 15 years of full-time work experience with minimum 10 years of experience in the Maritime field.
- Ability to work in teams and independently take responsibility of delivering key results.
- Strong Communication, Research and Analytical skills
