About the Department
Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct sector-specific research and analysis to identify investment opportunities, emerging trends, competitive advantages, and growth drivers across priority sectors.
- Develop sector intelligence reports, market assessments, and investment value propositions to support investor outreach and business development activities.
- Track sector performance indicators, investment pipelines, and project progress, providing actionable insights for leadership review and strategic decision-making.
- Support the design and implementation of sector-focused initiatives, including industry engagement programs, policy recommendations, and investment promotion campaigns.
- Prepare high-quality presentations, briefing notes, sector profiles, and stakeholder reports for senior management, government officials, and industry representatives.
- Engage with industry associations, companies, investors, and ecosystem stakeholders to gather market intelligence and identify sector-specific challenges and opportunities.
- Support the development of sector strategies, investment roadmaps, and policy advocacy initiatives to drive sector growth and investment attraction.
- Contribute to knowledge management, process improvement, and the creation of standardized sector reporting frameworks and databases.
Qualifications
- Post Graduate Degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Public Policy, Management, Engineering, or a related field from a premier institute.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret industry and market data.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or analytical tools (R/Python) preferred.
- Understanding of industry ecosystems, value chains, investment trends, and economic development frameworks.
