Workshop of India Industrial Land Bank with SEZs
India Industrial Land Bank (IILB) is a national GIS land bank that has been mapped over 3,800 industrial parks spanning 4.70 lakh hectares of land, with 1.09 lakh hectares currently available for industrial use. To ensure that the information remains up to date in real time, the system is integrated with industry-based GIS systems of 34 states and union territories, including private parks and Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
A workshop was organized with SEZs under the Department of Commerce (DoC) via video conference. The aim of the session was to handhold SEZ authorities in integrating SEZ’s plot level data onto the IILB platform. The officials were provided with information on the integration process and necessary parameters required along with addressal of any doubts.
