The AGNii Mission, as part of its initiative on national security, organised a conference on “Enhancing Disaster Response by Indian Innovations” chaired by the Hon’ble PSA to the Government of India. The Director General, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Inspector General, NDRF and their team leaders from the Training, Operations and Provisioning directorate were hosted at the office of the PSA. Issues pertaining to futuristic Science and Technology interventions, strategic priorities, road mapping various ideas learned by the NDRF during their Turkey operations were discussed. Closer cooperation on innovation between the AGNii mission team and NDRF was emphasised by the leadership of both sides. Formal submission of the technology advisory notes also took place. Furthermore, on behalf of the AGNIi Mission, Mr. Rahul Nayar gave a presentation on the importance of emerging tech in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) and a review of the collaboration between the two teams over the past 2.5 years.
