Building Resilient Semiconductor Supply Chains - The New India Opportunity
Introduction
Invest India, India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), and Counterpoint Research collaborated to host a webinar on the ‘New India Opportunity for Building Resilient Semiconductor Supply Chains’. The webinar featured presentations from Shri. Amitesh Kumar Sinha, Joint Secretary of Ministry of Electronics & IT and CEO of ISM, Mr Tarun Pathak, Research Director - Counterpoint Research and Dr Manish Hooda, SCL, India's own integrated device manufacturing (IDM) facility for semiconductors. The webinar covered four key areas:
- Semiconductor market across sectors and applications
- Government programs and incentives for manufacturers
- Talent availability and initiatives for re-skilling
- Existing infrastructural capabilities and support for semiconductor manufacturing
The webinar was held across multiple time zones receiving a total live participation of 250+ companies across the globe, covering all sections of the semiconductor supply chain.
