- The scheme aims at establishing the traditional artisans and industries into clusters in order to support them towards competitive for long- term sustainability goals.
- KEY BENEFITS
- Enabling traditional artisans to deliver sustainable employment.
- Financial Support: Government of India support up to INR 5 cr. for more than 500 artisans and INR 2.5 cr. up to 500 artisans.
- Enabling in setting up production facilities with modern machineries. Providing raw material support. Other support including marketing -business development and digitization.
- Soft Interventions up to INR 25 lakhs for skill development, exposure visits, buyer seller meets
- Enabling traditional artisans to deliver sustainable employment.
- SCHEME APPLICABLE FOR
- Present artisans from traditional industries
- Cluster of artisans in sectors such as Handicraft, Textile, Agro-Processing, Bamboo, Honey, Coir, Khadi etc.
- DETAILED INFORMATION
- Enabling support to traditional industries and artisans to provide sustainable employment through:
(i) Hard Intervention in setting up physical infrastructure with CFCs, latest machines, raw material banks, and
(ii) Soft Intervention in market promotion initiatives, skill development, etc. in clusters. - Financial assistance of up to 90% (95% in NER, J&K and Hill Areas) of Hard Intervention cost and entire cost of Soft Intervention.
