  • OBJECTIVE

    • The scheme is aimed at providing professional support to entrepreneurs belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. The scheme would enable these entrepreneurs to fulfill their obligations under the Central Government Public Procurement Policy for Micro and Small Enterprises Order 2012. Further, the scheme would enable them to adopt applicable business practices and leverage the Stand-Up India initiatives

    • The scheme strives to achieve the 4% public procurement target from the SC, ST entrepreneurs
    • The scheme would facilitate and enable entrepreneurs belonging to SCs and STs to be a part of the vendor development programs and enable them to leverage the mentoring support
    • The scheme would provide for the collection, collation and dissemination of information with respect to the SC, ST enterprises and entrepreneurs
    • Further, the scheme would provide for trade specific tool kits to be distributed to the trained candidates

    • The National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) has been set up to provide professional support to entrepreneurs belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes. The NSSH aims to achieve the obligations under the Central Government Public Procurement Policy for Micro and Small Enterprises Order 2012. Further, the NSSH aims to assist entrepreneurs to adopt applicable business practices and leverage the opportunities under the Stand-Up India initiative of the Government. The key action areas for NSSH include vendor development, participation in public procurement, building reliable database, mentoring and handholding support, policy advocacy with states, credit facilitation, capacity building, private affirmative action, technology upgradation, marketing support, and special subsidies under various schemes. The NSSH is operational in the mentioned priority areas through various sub-schemes, as mentioned hereinbelow:
