About the Department
Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department of Promotion for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategize actionable plans and target outreach to financial institutions to develop sustainable fintech space/ Product/ Process Innovations for SMEs lending
- Analyze demand and supply side to bring in micro finance institutions in Meghalaya
- Analyze and help resolve the concerns in accessing finance for MSMEs/ entrepreneurs through stakeholder consultation
- Serve as the principal liaison between financial institutions, including banks, lead micro finance institutions, impact investors, and other financial service providers, SIDBI, NABARD, SBI etc.
- Liaison with financial institutions to promote and conduct workshop for youth and women to help them access finance
- Financial Literacy – Educate youths &women on various facets of finance
- Coordinate with State and District officials of Meghalaya
- Identify investable projects in the state and analyze the viability of the project
- Prepare the pitch deck, roadmap for funding support from multilateral agencies
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in economics, finance, business administration, PhD in finance/economics or related field from a premier institute is preferable
- Experience in banking/ financial services desirable with hands on work of product development and innovation
- Preferably familiar with and experience in multilateral agencies (ADB, World bank etc) and other financial institutions.
- Highly motivated, multitasking, flexible to achieve task in hand
- Excellent Communication, People and Analytical skills are a must for the role.
- Prior understanding on administrative set-up at a state and business ecosystem would be preferable.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, MS Word, Power-Point and Strong Presentation Skills
- Data analytics skills preferable
- Candidate with linguistic and cultural familiarity shall be preferred
- Language proficiency: Hindi, English, regional Indian language (preferred)
- 8-10 years of experience preferred
