About the Department

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.

Invest India is seeking candidates who will be responsible for assisting the Team Lead-Fisheries, to execute the strategy for promoting domestic and foreign investments and ease of doing business in the Fisheries and Aquaculture sector. S/he will be closely working with stakeholders in the Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, industry associations, domestic and foreign companies, etc. for promotion and facilitation of investments into the fisheries and aquaculture sector, policy advocacy, issue resolution and knowledge creation.

Key Responsibilities

The roles and responsibilities of the team members would be to:

  • Work in close coordination with the team lead to ensure the execution of the strategy of the division or project
  • Identify and build investment pipeline companies that have the potential to invest in India’s fisheries and aquaculture sector
  • Facilitate investors on their India market entry strategy, business expansion, consolidation, issue resolution, and aftercare support
  • Organize stakeholders’ consultations, roundtables, roadshows, workshops, and webinars
  • Lead preparation of high-quality research, reports, opportunity papers, and briefing notes required for the division or projects
  • Regularly update the company’s database on leads and client cases
  • Contribute to the delivery of client objectives

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree from a premier institution (Post-graduate or graduate degree in Fisheries and allied sectors from a premier university in India or abroad would be given preference)
  • 2 - 4 years of work experience in a front-end role at a consulting firm / developmental agency/ investment bank/investment promotion agency / global corporate working in Fisheries and allied sectors
  • Experience in preparing DPR’s, policy briefs, policy analysis, and research reports
  • Ability to work in teams and take ownership of the task at hand
  • Strong Communications, Research, Coordination, Relationship Management, Cross-Functional Collaboration Skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver on tight timelines
