About the Department

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department of Promotion for Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating a strategic roadmap for promoting investments in the Education Sector (Education Technology, Publishing, Assessment, K12 Education, Higher Education, Training/Coaching)
  • Building investment pipeline, evaluating prospective inward investment interests by consulting with stakeholders and conducting outreach activities.
  • Facilitating investor engagements from foreign and domestics companies in the education sector.
  • Developing and maintaining relationship with stakeholders from central and state government departments, statutory bodies, industry associations, private and public companies for promotion and facilitation of investments, policy guidance, policy advocacy and issue redressals, in the education sector.
  • Preparing sector reports, blogs, website pages and presentations on market opportunities, key policy initiatives and other areas of interest.
  • Organizing stakeholder consultations, roundtables and investment promotion events pitching the investment opportunities to potential investors across focus sectors.
  • The candidate will also play secondary role in supporting Sports/Space sectors teams of Invest India.

Qualifications

  • Post-graduate or graduate degree in business management streams from a premier university in India/abroad
  • 5 – 8 years of work experience in a front-end role at a consulting firm / developmental agency/ investment bank / investment promotion agency / global corporate working in education and allied sectors.
  • Strong research, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, coordination, relationship management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience of preparing strategy documents, policy briefs, policy analysis, research reports, stakeholder management and business development.
  • Strong presentation skills with expertise in MS Excel, Ms Word, And Ms Power-Point.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment, multiple projects, and strict timelines.
  • Prior experience in education sector would be preferable.
