About the Department

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.

Assist in project management, handle analytics tasks, and support the Manager in achieving project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research Support:
    • Provide support in research initiatives for the overall trade promotion strategy.
    • Assist in basic data analysis and contribute to the development of data-driven models.
  • Execution Support:
    • Support the execution of internal targets through basic reporting tasks.
    • Learn and assist in the development of strategies aligned with target achievement.
  • Sectoral Research Participation:
    • Participate in basic sectoral in-market research efforts.
    • Contribute to data gathering for market intelligence in support of strategic decisions.
  • Global Research Exposure:
    • Have an understanding of the role of trade officers in overseas missions and their research contributions.
    • Support collaborative efforts with think tanks and consulting agencies
  • Role Objectives

  • Contribution to Outputs:
    • Contribute to research outputs and reports.
    • Provide inputs for research on trade promotion initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Interaction:
    • Engaging with stakeholders to gather feedback.
    • Participate in the various stages of the feedback loop for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Professional with at least 2+ years from prominent trade focus think tank.
  • Must have trade focused experience.
  • Understanding of international trade dynamics, including tariffs, quotas, and trade agreements.
  • Should have data analytical skills: competent in utilizing data analytics for strategic decision-making & have an ability to leverage analytical insights to enhance exports.
  • Educational Qualifications: Diploma or master's degree in economics, business administration, international business, foreign trade, foreign policy, or allied areas.
