About the Department
Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency. It is a joint venture between the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), and State Governments. It hosts teams working with various Govt. initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNIi, and PMG. Startup India is a flagship initiative of the Government of India intended to catalyze startup culture and build a strong and inclusive ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in India. Startup India is a flagship initiative of the Government of India, intended to build a strong eco-system for nurturing innovation and Start-Ups in the country that will drive sustainable economic growth and generate large scale employment opportunities. The Startup India Hub was announced by the Hon`ble PM on 16th January 2016 and became operational on 1st April 2016. The Hub`s mandate is to serve as a single point of contact for the entire Start-Up Ecosystem and enable exchange of knowledge and access to funding. The Startup India Hub team also provides mass facilitation in the form of a dedicated helpline, email and twitter queries. Additionally, the team also offers Bespoke / full-fledged facilitation to select Start-Ups which includes Business Plan / Strategic Advisory, Financial Advisory, Government & Regulatory Advisory and assist Startups with coordinating relevant stakeholder meetings in India.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder management with officials, partners & startups ecosystem stakeholders
- Responsible and accountable for end-to-end delivery of projects
- Provide support to DPIIT officials for formulating policies, schemes, measures etc and address ad hoc requests
- Handhold startups and Government departments in entrepreneurial subjects to create a conducive startup ecosystem and resolve queries in stipulated time
- Conduct extensive sector-specific and industry research
- Address ad hoc requests from DPIIT such as preparation of reports, briefs etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree (Public Policy or Development Studies / Economics or Management Sciences / Engineering from Premier Institute / International Relations will be preferred)
- 2-4 years of work experience in Public Policy, Consulting, Partnerships, Strategy and International Relations
- A problem-solving approach, data-driven decision making and strong project management skills
- Excellent Research and Communications skills
- Well versed with all tools of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in teams and independently take responsibility of delivering key results
