In the spirit of our nation's commitment to Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayash, a global Mega Textile event, BHARAT TEX 2024, is scheduled to be held from 26-29 February 2024 at Bharat Mandapam (India Trade Promotion Organization, Pragati Maidan) and Yashobhoomi (India International Convention and Expo Centre, Dwarka), covering close to 2,00,000 sq m area. The focus in Yashobhoomi would be on handicrafts, handlooms, carpets, machinery, embroideries, and weaving, and in Bharat Mandapam on the textiles value chain including apparel, home textiles, fibres, and more.

Being planned on a grand scale across the 2 venues, the event will be first of its own kind premier event to show the intrinsic strength of the complete textile value chain aligned with the 5F vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India and position India as the most preferred destination for textiles manufacturing and sourcing. The mega event is expected to bring together global and domestic players across the entire textiles value chain including investors, manufacturers, exporters, sellers, buyers, designers, industry experts and enthusiasts from around the world. Key highlights include expected 3500+ brands, 10000+ textiles products, 3000+ overseas buyers, and 40,000+ trade visitors.

Bharat Tex underscores the importance of successful Government-industry partnerships, aligning with the principle of ‘Minimum Government, Maximum Governance’ wherein this event is the result of massive collaborative efforts by being jointly organized by the consortium of eleven (11) Textile Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) and supported by Ministry of Textiles besides partnership of multiple key stakeholders in the ecosystem including Invest India - the national investment promotion and facilitation agency of Government of India. Event Sponsors and partners include prominent players such as Aditya Birla Group, Reliance Group, Arvind Fashion, Welspun Living, Shahi Exports, Indorama Ventures, and Trident Group, among others.

States including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Telangana are also participating with dedicated pavilions and government representations.

Innovation would be the centrepiece of this event. A Hackathon in Technical Textiles and an Innovation Challenge for Sustainability in Textiles are being planned to tap into groundbreaking solutions and advance the technological frontiers of the country. With a focus on sustainability and resilient supply chains, Bharat Tex 2024 would also help showcase the latest technological advancements in India with world-class exhibitions, global launches, dedicated pavilions on sustainability and recycling, and interactive fabric tasting zones. A dedicated Sustainability Pavilion is also being set up to attract investors keen on green solutions and sustainable practices within the textile industry. Attendees will also witness the launch of new products, innovations such as 3D printing in fashion, textile manufacturing processes driven by artificial intelligence, water-less dyeing techniques and advanced materials such as smart textiles and bio-fabrics besides other sustainable practices and circular economy models. As the textiles industry transitions from linear to sustainable, and circular, the demonstration of our local capabilities and readiness in the wake of recent global regulations would help further put India on the global map as a formidable player in sustainable textiles.

In addition to the above, 50+ meticulously curated knowledge seminars with global speakers for thematic discussions, country and state sessions would present unprecedented opportunities to engage with and learn from distinguished leaders, policymakers and innovators to converge and discuss strategies that can drive the sector towards sustainable growth and global competitiveness. Topics include resilient supply chains, ESG, sustainability solutions, technology, innovations, retailing, textiles machinery and technical textiles, logistics, digital infrastructure, and megatrends besides country sessions for Africa and Australia among others.
