Project Monitoring Group (PMG) has been regularly conducting review meetings to get definite timelines for resolution of issues pertaining to mega infrastructure projects, which are pending with different state governments and central ministries. These review meetings are attended by central ministry officials, senior officials from the concerned state government, district collectors and project proponents. Open issues in projects spanning across major sectors including railways, roads and highways, oil and gas, coal, mines, metro, power, renewable energy, and cement, are discussed at length in these meetings. Recently, 5 state review meetings and 1 ministry sub-group meeting, were conducted by PMG. Officials from cabinet secretariat were also present, and they provided their valuable feedback and inputs.

1.  Karnataka Review Meeting was chaired by Dr. EV Ramana Reddy, Additional Chief Secretary, Commerce & Industries department, Government of Karnataka, and co-chaired by Amrit Lal Meena, Special Secretary (Logistics), Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India. 48 issues in 20 projects, having a total investment value of INR 47,845 crore were discussed. As a result of this review, 10 issues across 9 projects were resolved. Further, clear timelines were given by the state government officials for resolution of the open issues.

2. Bihar Review Meeting was chaired by Amrit Lal Meena, Special Secretary (Logistics), DPIIT, Government of India and co-chaired by Sandeep Poundrik, Principal Secretary, Planning & Development Department, Government of Bihar. 58 issues in 26 projects, having a total investment value of INR 1.41 lakh crore were discussed. As a result of this review, 8 issues across 5 projects were resolved.

3. Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change Sub-Group Meeting  was chaired by Amrit Lal Meena, Special Secretary (Logistics), DPIIT, Government of India. 43 issues in 38 projects, having a total investment value of INR 4 lakh crore were discussed. As a result of this review, 9 issues across 9 projects were resolved.

4. Madhya Pradesh Review Meeting was chaired by Amrit Lal Meena, Special Secretary (Logistics), DPIIT, Government of India and co-chaired by Sanjay Kumar Shukla, Principal Secretary, DPIIT, Government of Madhya Pradesh. 64 issues in 27 projects, having a total investment value of INR 1.57 lakh crore were discussed. As a result of this review, 8 issues across 6 projects were resolved.

5. Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir Review Meeting was chaired by Amrit Lal Meena, Special Secretary (Logistics), DPIIT, Government of India. 30 issues in 15 projects, having a total investment value of INR 64,893 crore were discussed. As a result of this review, 7 issues across 5 projects were resolved.

6. North-Eastern States Review Meeting was chaired by Kavita Singh, Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India. 65 issues in 25 projects, having a total investment value of INR 99,866 crore were discussed. As a result of this review, 6 issues across 5 projects were resolved.

7. Capacity Building Sessions of 260+ officials from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) was conducted by the PMG Team. Participants were trained on utilising PMG portal for milestone-based monitoring of road projects which are being implemented by NHAI.
