Integration of IIG and PMG portals of Invest India:
Over the last few months, there have been various discussions at the Cabinet Secretariat and Prime Minister's Office (PMO) regarding the integration of multiple portals for monitoring infrastructure projects in the country. Based on recommendations given during these meetings, it was decided that DPITT will explore the option of integrating the different portals.

Accordingly, Invest India had taken the initiative of working towards integrating two important portals – Project Monitoring Group (PMG) and India Investment Grid (IIG) with the active participation of senior officials from DPIIT and the Department of Economic Affairs, Govt of India. This integration was planned with the principle of having the same data entered at only one place and seamlessly transferring the same within the different portals through Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Once the integration is complete, the project proponents would have to enter the Project Level Data in the common project data entry form in one place only.

The first phase of this integration was completed, wherein the common entry form was launched for IIG and PMG portals. Henceforth, all concerned ministries and their implementing agencies would need to enter data only once through the common form. To familiarise everyone with this new approach, the IIG and PMG team organised four capacity-building sessions jointly, which witnessed participation from various ministries and their implementing agencies.
