The total import of televisions under these codes was INR 5,513.72 crore for 2019-20 from 42 countries. The amounts per code range from INR 0.06 lakh from Norway to INR 2,986.41 crore from Vietnam.

The maximum import value is under the last code which means colour television sets not covered under any of the other eight codes. These could be LCDs greater than 63 cm or 24.8 inches.

Countries impacted by India's restrictions
The countries that are most impacted by this news would be the ones for which television export is a major proportion of their exports to India. In these terms, while Samoa supplies televisions worth only INR 1,214 lakhs, these make up more than 58 per cent of its total exports to India. Similarly, for Vietnam the proportion of TV is more than 6 per cent of their total exports to India in 2019-20.
