Embassy of India, Spain with Invest India, Port of Barcelona, Foment del Treball and BDO Consulting organised an event – ‘India Advantage: Synergies and Opportunities for Spanish companies with a special focus on the IT sector in Barcelona, Spain. The Invest India team presented the India growth story and the India opportunity along with opportunities in the information technology sector. The event saw participation from more than 75 Spanish companies from the IT, logistics and infrastructure sectors amongst others.
Indo Spanish Chamber of Commerce Business Breakfast Session
Indo-Spanish Chamber of Commerce organised a Business Breakfast Session where the Invest India team presented the India Growth Story and the India Opportunity. Invest India also shared success stories of successfully facilitating investors to invest in India. The event saw the participation of 15 companies.
International Textiles Machinery Association (ITMA)
CDP S.p.A. organized an insightful online seminar– ‘Italy meets India - Focus on Textile Machinery.’ The event showcased the incredible opportunities for collaboration between the two countries in this dynamic sector. Neelashi Shukla, Assistant Vice President, from Invest India, shared insights on Invest India's business activities and India-Italy collaboration. Bhavna Rathee, Assistant Vice President, discussed textile trends and opportunities.
WalloniaTech-India Program
Western Europe team at Invest India was invited for a networking dinner on the occasion of this year’s WalloniaTech-India Program hosted by Mr. Didier Vanderhasselt, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium, and Mr. Guillaume de Bassompierre, Trade and Investment Commissioner, Wallonia Export & Investment Agency. The program was an effort to assist innovative Indian start-ups looking for strategic alliances, capital, and networking in Europe. It aims to identify the brightest entrepreneurial talents in India to introduce them to investors and strategic partners including technology business incubators, universities as well as science parks in Wallonia, Belgium. Invest India and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in India work in close collaboration to boost investments and the startup ecosystem in India.
Swedish Business Criticality Call on “Harit Sagar” Green Port Guidelines, by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways
The Ports and Shipping team presented the opportunities in the Indian Maritime Sector with a focus on “Harit Sagar Guidelines 2023 (Green Ports)” to multiple Swedish Stakeholders including chambers and companies.
The call is part of a monthly engagement between the Western Europe team in Invest India and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce India (SCCI) to highlight key developments and reforms in the Indian economy. The month’s focus was on the green port guidelines and opportunities existing in the industry. The initiative was especially appreciated by the members attending this month’s call.
Ease of Doing Business Webinar
Invest India organised the first edition of an interactive webinar on ‘Ease of Doing Business’ on ‘Why Compliance Matters’. Mr. Kunal Gupta and Mr. Rajat Jariwal, Partners from Trilegal, were the experts who spoke on the compliance regime in New India to help stakeholders and potential investors understand the modalities of setting up and doing business in India. The webinar saw active participation from over 89 participants.
