India Switzerland Startup Bridge

India and Switzerland announced setting up a Startup Bridge, on the side-lines of World Economic Forum 2023, to improve knowledge sharing between start-ups of the two countries. It was announced in the presence of Mr. Anurag Jain, Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).

Visit of Belgian Delegation from Flanders

Invest India hosted a delegation of 18 MBA executives and officials from the Flanders Business School, Flanders Investment and Trade, and the Embassy of Belgium in India for an interactive discussion on the investment opportunities present in the country for Belgian companies and the vibrant Indian startup ecosystem. The Make in India and Startup teams from Invest India presented an overview of the various kinds of support extended by Invest India and Startup India to facilitate foreign companies in their India investment and growth journey. The presentation followed an open question and answer session between all the parties on ease of doing business in India.

Visit of Switzerland State Secretary, Ms. Helene Budliger

Invest India hosted State Secretary Ms. Helene Budliger, Director of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research, Switzerland. Mr. Deepak Bagla, Managing Director and CEO, Invest India presented the India opportunity and Mr. Rajendra Ratnoo, Joint Secretary, DPIIT was present for the discussion.

Swedish Business Criticality Call on Startup India 

The Startup India team presented on the Startup Ecosystem in India and the India-Sweden Startup Bridge during this month’s Swedish Business Criticality Call hosted by Invest India and Swedish Chamber of Commerce India (SCCI). The call is part of a monthly engagement between the Western Europe Group in Invest India and the SCCI to highlight key developments and reforms in the Indian economy. This month’s focus was on the growing startup ecosystem, and the role of Startup India in enabling this growth and their collaborations across industries was especially appreciated by the members attending this month’s call.

Budget Session for European Companies

The Nordic’s desk hosted a budget session for European companies to cover the budget highlights and key updates on sectors of European business interest. The call was attended by more than 40 participants from European companies, associations and embassies. The session included an overview of the budget, and summaries from the infrastructure, auto, fisheries and food processing, health, energy, aviation, and shipping sectors.
