The Bangladesh Startup Summit 2023 was organized by ‘Startup Bangladesh’, the flagship venture capital fund of the Information and Communication Technology Division of the Government of Bangladesh, in partnership with the major stakeholders of the Startup ecosystem in Bangladesh.  

The participation snapshot of the Summit included 50+ Global Venture Capitalists and Investors, 50+ national and international speakers, 45+ sessions, 80+ startups, including venture capitalists from India, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Japan. Startup India led a delegation of 10 Indian startups and 2 DPIIT officials were invited to the Bangladesh Startup Summit 2023.    

India- Bangladesh Startup Bridge was launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Mr. Sheikh Hasina, where it was announced that both countries have mutually reaffirmed their commitment to fostering collaboration and growth in the startup sector.   

The 10 Indian startups were given a pitching opportunity at the summit, in front of local and international investors. They were also able to present their innovative products/services to the government stakeholders, including, High Commissioner and State Minister, ICT Division.   

The startups were able to interact and explore synergies with other Bangladeshi startups and were able to benefit from the knowledge sessions planned. The summit provided numerous opportunities to the startups, including, but not limited to, networking sessions, masterclasses, keynote sessions, and other knowledge building programs.
