- OBJECTIVE
- The scheme aims to revive the Agarbatti industry in the country by increasing indigenous production of Agarbatti, thereby reducing imports
- It aims to impart training to the Agarbatti artisans and to assist them with Agarbatti manufacturing machines and assistance with raw material
- It aims to create sustainable employment for the traditional Artisans and increase their wages
- Further, the scheme would develop backward and forward linkages and provide hand holding support to the artisans, SHGs etc.
- TYPE OF ASSISTANCE
- A free 10 day Agarbatti skill upgradation training would be provided to 20 candidates (per batch) by experts in Agarbatti industry
- Assistance will be provided with Agarbatti manufacturing machines and raw material for manufacturing Agarbatti
- SCHEME APPLICABLE FOR
- People between the age of 18 to 55 years
- One person from each family will be eligible for 10 bee boxes, with bee colonies and tools kit (Bee veil, smoker, Knife and hive tool)
- People already trained in beekeeping by KVIC / KVIB / NABARD / KVK (s) / Agriculture - Horticulture Boards / Eligible Beekeeping NGO (s), etc. eligible to get the support of bee boxes with bee colonies and tool kit
- People who have previously availed benefits from other Govt. Schemes for the same / similar purpose will not be eligible; a declaration in this regard has to be filled by the proposed beneficiary
HOW TO APPLY
Application can be made by responding to the advertisements, inviting applications from prospective beneficiaries/ SHGs to receive training/ machines etc., to be advertised by the State /Divisional Directors of KVIC locally through print and electronic media
