State Potential
Dadar and Nagar Haveli are landlocked UT on the western coast, in the foothills of the Western Ghats, with hilly terrain. The climate is moderate and generally healthy in the Central Zone, though hot in the summer season from March to June.
The monsoon season runs from June to September, and the UT receives an average rainfall of 2000 to 2500 mm. Winters begin in November and last until February, with temperatures ranging from 11 to 22 degrees Celsius.
Diu is a coastal town in the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, located on the southern coast of Gujarat, along the Arabian Sea; there is a mild winter in December and January and summers in March and May. The area is lashed by the southwest monsoon from June to September. The constant sea breeze also affects the temperature on the island. Daman, situated on the western coast of India, has a temperate climate. The average maximum temperature is 37.2 degrees Celsius, and the average minimum temperature is 11.6 degrees Celsius. The humidity ranges between 24 and 100%, and the entire district receives a major share of its rainfall between June and September.
The district receives Annual Rainfall of about 2,000 to 3,000 mm.
