EFTA Parliamentary Delegation Roundtable 

The Western Europe team hosted a parliamentary delegation from the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member states at the Invest India office, where Ms. Varda Taneja, Vice President, Invest India, presented the India Opportunity to the delegation. The discussion centred around the India growth story, vision for 2047, and the reforms and advancements made by the Government of India to promote investments and ensure ease of doing business in the country.

Netherlands-India Partners in Business Roundtable on Horticulture 

Invest India, in close collaboration with the Dutch embassy, organized a roundtable session as part of the Partners in Business (PIB) program, NL HortiRoad2India. The roundtable aimed to bring together key investors, cultivators, and the food-retail industry players passionate about innovation and sustainability to explore solutions for profitable innovation and impact in the Horticulture sector.

Access India Initiative in association with Invest India 

The 2nd edition of the ‘Access India’ initiative was held virtually. Invest India presented the India opportunity to Italian companies, focused on the manufacturing sector and interested in exploring India as their next investment destination. Over 25 companies consisting of SMEs, and start-ups took part in the event. 

Swedish Business Criticality Call on Opportunities in North-East Region and Overview of the latest Foreign Trade Policy

The Nordics country team presented on the Foreign Trade policy and the North-East team presented on the opportunities in the North-East in their engagement with the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER), and highlighted ‘North East Global Investors Summit’ (NEGIS) - the first global summit organized by the Ministry of DoNER. 

The call is part of a monthly engagement between the Western Europe Team in Invest India and the SCCI to highlight key developments and reforms in the Indian economy. This month’s focus was on the growing electronic vehicle sector and the market and manufacturing opportunities existing in the industry were especially appreciated by the members attending this month’s call.

Germany-India: Make in India Webinar

The Germany and Eastern Europe team organized a webinar in association with Make in India Mittlestand (MIIM) and presented India’s opportunity in Waste to Wealth and its commitment to a circular economy. The webinar saw participation from German SMEs, the German Retech Partnership, the Material Recycle Association of India (MRAI), Blackforest Solutions GMBH and Alphamers Ltd.
