About the Department
Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.
Technology Development Fund (TDF) is a flagship industry-led defence R&D programme of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Through this grant-in-aid funding programme, DRDO seeks the participation of the Indian private sector, particularly startups and MSMEs in defence R&D projects. Invest India is the supporting agency for the implementation of the programme.
You will be part of the Product Team at Invest India, responsible for taking the TDF Portal (https://tdf.drdo.gov.in/) to the next level. This portal has a registered user base of 3000+ companies and is the primary interface for the programme for all participating companies. All project information, applications for EOIs and DPR for open projects, industry feedback for project feasibility, and programme-related resources and documentation are hosted on this portal
Key Responsibilities
Being a Product Manager, you will:
- Focus on web and mobile engagement, you’ll own the product roadmap for building a world-class product experience to drive user growth and conversion to our products.
- Balance multiple disciplines from design thinking to analytics to product strategy. You will discover journeys and opportunities across our web presence to craft and experiment with new experiences.
- Do end-to-end third-party vendor management that is responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining the portal.
- Work with designers, engineers, and various stakeholders to coordinate, plan, execute, and track product releases from beginning to end.
- Lay the vision and roadmap of tasks related to the product’s features in conversation with DRDO and other stakeholders.
- Manage UX/UI Wireframing and Prototyping.
Qualifications
The eligible candidate shall:
- Have 2-3 years of experience managing and producing digital products.
- Demonstrate mastery of mobile and tech industry trends and best practices, as well as a willingness to learn and grow.
- Have a proven track record of creating programs, products, or customer experiences in highly agile environments.
- Have the ability to listen, learn, and create features for end-users while being fastidious with assumptions and continually validating customer and stakeholder feedback, and data.
- Be someone who can invent and develop from a basic concept to advanced design experiences and programs that empower the end-user.
- Be someone who has an innate ability to synthesize various data, learnings, and research and to articulate the most important insights.
- Be a fluent technical translator. You should be able to present technical complexity in approachable terms for your audience. You should also be able to engage in divergent thinking, exploring, and rapidly iterating on solutions.
- Be able to effectively collaborate with various teams and provide the most useful guidance in an enthusiastic and inspiring manner.
- Be someone who has strong visual thinking and storytelling abilities – simplifying complex concepts and strategies through design and logic.
- Be familiar with UX and UI Wireframing and Prototyping and project management tools such as Jira.
- Be familiar with front-end and back-end development frameworks and content management tools.
- Be efficient in time and vendor management.
