About the Department
Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a multi-state, multi-sector portfolio of mega projects across India.
- Oversee the development and implementation of dashboards, pre-defined and customized reports for Central and State departments/ministries to enable high level meetings, planning, decision-making, monitoring, and management.
- Innovate new approaches to generate actionable insights supporting evidence-based policy making.
- Supervise creation of periodic and automated analytics to track project progress and streamline operations for ministries.
- Evaluate and present best practices (domestic and global), developing business cases for adoption in the Indian context.
- Drive capacity building programmes for officials, ensuring sustained ownership and delivery.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with senior officials at State and Central levels as well as project proponents.
- Provide strategic inputs, represent the organization in high-level forums, and ensure alignment with national priorities.
- Guide, mentor and manage resources to enable teamwork and growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Public Policy, Economics, or related fields.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in leadership/consulting/government interface roles.
- Strong expertise in data analysis, project management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Demonstrated experience in problem-solving, driving results, and managing large teams/projects.
- Prior experience of working with Government stakeholders, Ministries, or consulting assignments is preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
