About the Department
Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.
Key Responsibilities

Technical Expertise in Data Science/Data Analysis:
-
Hands-on Experience with at least one of the data manipulation tools such as Python, R, and JAVA, is a must-have. Gen AI/ Machine Learning/ Artificial Intelligence, Expertise in Coding, Supervised and Unsupervised Techniques - active learning, transfer learning, neural models, decision trees, reinforcement learning, graphical models, Gaussian processes, Bayesian models, map-reduce techniques, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, Deep Learning, Text Mining Algorithms.

Experience with either data workflows/modeling, front-end engineering, or back-end engineering.

Ability to work on modeling accuracy and enhance modeling efficiency in existing processes using Machine Learning/AI.

Taking a proactive approach in identifying areas where advanced analytics can provide value and initiating projects to develop and implement new analytics solutions

Experience with manipulating massive-scale structured and unstructured data.

Experience with any one distributed/cloud-based data system such as Hadoop and related technologies (AWS, Spark, Presto, Pig, Hive, etc.).

Experience working with databases that power APIs for front-end applications.

Cross-functional coordination and delivery:

Collaborate and communicate with a broad team of cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring all viewpoints are accounted for and that solutions meet all necessary requirements.

Reporting and MIS:
- Create, implement, and run overall reporting and MIS framework to provide effective management information and seek timely decisions and resources.
- Technical proficiency in any one BI Tool such as Power BI, or Tableau.
- Summarize the status of various stakeholders, the status of the project, constraints, risks, opportunities, and decisions required.

Leadership Initiatives:
- Manage learning and development within the team
- Mentor junior team members to improve effectiveness at executing current roles and responsibilities.
- Coach team members to help them learn and grow into future roles as per succession planning.

Communication Skills: Good written and spoken communication skills, including presentation, formal writing, verbal and email
Qualifications

2-5 years of experience, preferably in a software engineering/data science/analyst role or other relevant experience in digital technology-related roles.

Masters in science/engineering/data science/business administration or related fields from Indian/foreign institutions.

Hands-on Experience in applying advanced statistical and/or quantitative techniques to solve business problems is preferred.

Working knowledge and experience with SAAS application products, technologies, and architecture.
