About the Department
Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department of Promotion for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Invest India and Ministry of Textiles to formulate strategies and plans for promoting investments and growth in the textile sector including via flagship schemes such as PM MITRA
- Assist in organizing events, workshops, and meetings to promote the textile sector and attract investments. Event management support to MoT for outreach initiatives and industry events including the upcoming Mega Textiles Event, Bharat Tex 2024.
- Foster partnerships with industry stakeholders, both domestic and international, to drive investment in textiles, and support for ease of doing business initiatives and policy recommendations in the textile sector.
- Respond to investor queries and assist potential investors with all information, financial analysis, location identification, stakeholder interactions, FDI regulations and other regulatory requirements for doing business in India.
- Identify, target and interact with foreign players to attract investments into the Textiles sector, in particular the PM MITRA parks in 7 states across India.
- Engage with industry associations, trade bodies, and investors to facilitate a conducive environment for textile sector investments.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, market dynamics, and policy changes to inform decision-making and strategy refinement.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and policy recommendations for senior officials and stakeholders at the Ministry of Textiles.
- The role is completely on-site (from Ministry of Textiles and/or Invest India office) and may require domestic/ international travel.
Qualifications
- MBA/ Master’s degree
- Experience of working with Central and State Government Departments in Investment and Trade Promotion including policy advocacy, investor targeting and outreach and organizing events and roadshows.
- Should have experience of leading and managing large summits and events.
