About the Department

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG

Key Responsibilities

•Responsible for comprehensive milestone and issue monitoring of 40–50 projects within the assigned zone. The role involves maintaining up-to-date records at the milestone, project, issue, and compliance levels, nodal details and ensuring regular coordination and follow-ups with concerned stakeholders to keep project data current and accurate.
•Assist in data management, verification, and entry on PMG Portal for ongoing and commissioned projects.
•Maintain project and issue trackers, meeting logs, and compliance records.
•Support Managers in preparing presentations, minutes, and detailed review briefs.
•Coordinate with stakeholders (Ministries, PSUs, States) for submission of documents and follow-up actions.
•Provide input to Impact Assessment team in compiling quantitative and qualitative data from field visits.
•Provide actionable feedback and inputs to the Technology Team for enhancing the PMG Portal’s functionality, user experience, and intuitiveness, drawing from on-ground interactions with stakeholders and day-to-day issue resolution experience.
•Responsible for establishing State PMG units across different States, facilitating the onboarding of districts and line departments, training State teams, and ensuring their effective operationality.
•Enable logistical support and data collection during PRAGATI, PMO, and Cabinet-level reviews.
•Responsible to run Python/R codes to enable automation in document preparation.
•Will support the respective Manager in ad-hoc tasks as and when required.
 

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Public policy, Economics, Data Science, Environment, or Public Administration or other professional degrees.
•Minimum 1 year of experience in project coordination, business/government consulting, research, or data analytics.
•Prior internship or work experience in public policy, infrastructure projects, or government initiatives is desirable.
•Ability to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for data collection, validation, and document preparation.
•Must demonstrate a strong ability to learn quickly, adapt to evolving priorities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality outcomes.
•Strong attention to detail, documentation, and analytical ability.
•Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with basic analytical tools (Power BI / Python / R) preferred.
•A collaborative team player with strong analytical skills, independent thinking, and intellectual curiosity. Highly organized, hardworking, deadline-driven, and capable of multitasking, with excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Hindi.
