About the Department
Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.
Key Responsibilities
The candidates hired shall be based at Invest India’s headquarter in New Delhi and will be part of IILB/ IPRS/ SLMS team and responsible for the following activities:
Geospatial Data Management:
Learn to collect, organize, and maintain geospatial data relevant to industrial land transactions.
Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established standards.
GIS Technology Integration:
Collaborate with the product team to understand and contribute to the integration of GIS technology into the IILB platform.
Assist in implementing geospatial solutions to enhance location-based decision-making.
Spatial Analysis and Mapping:
Learn and contribute to conducting spatial analysis to derive insights for industrial land planning and transactions.
Assist in developing and maintaining detailed maps and visualizations to aid stakeholders in decision-making.
Data Analysis:
Gain hands-on experience in utilizing data analysis techniques to extract insights from diverse datasets related to industrial land transactions.
Contribute to exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities.
Data Validation and Quality Assurance:
Learn and assist in implementing data validation processes to identify and rectify discrepancies in geospatial and analytical datasets.
Contribute to ensuring the quality and reliability of information on the IILB platform.
User Support and Training:
Provide support for GIS and data analysis-related queries and issues.
Learn and contribute to the development and delivery of training sessions to internal teams and external users on GIS tools, data analysis techniques, and functionalities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, GIS, Remote Sensing, Data Science, or a related field.
0-3 years of experience as a GIS and Data Analyst, with a passion for learning and growth.
Familiarity with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS), and eagerness to develop proficiency.
Basic understanding of geospatial data standards and data analysis methodologies.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
