About the Department

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of HR professionals, including HR specialists, recruiters, and generalists.
  • HR Strategy: Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's mission, vision, and business goals.
  • Policy Development: Create, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Employee Relations: Oversee employee relations activities, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling.
  • Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with recruitment teams to attract and hire top talent while ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Performance Management: Implement and manage performance appraisal systems, providing guidance on goal setting and feedback.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and oversee employee development programs to enhance skills and career growth.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Administer and review compensation and benefits programs to remain competitive in the market.
  • HR Compliance: Ensure HR practices and policies adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, conducting checks and audits as necessary.
  • Workplace Culture: Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement through various initiatives.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion efforts, fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace.
  • Employee Feedback: Develop and manage employee feedback mechanisms, such as surveys, focus groups, or suggestion programs.
  • Change Management: Support the organization during periods of change or growth, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • HR Data and Analytics: Utilize HR metrics and data to make informed decisions and track the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
  • Utilizing technology and staying up to date with the best global and domestic HR practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
    Master's degree & HR certifications are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, people management, and team development skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align HR practices with business goals.
  • Adaptability and a proactive approach to HR challenges.
  • 12+ years of experience required, with a track record of managerial or leadership roles.
