Invest India is hiring a Full-Time Core Team Member for the One District One Product (ODOP) Team. The ideal candidate shall have 2 - 6 years of professional work experience and demonstrate good People Skills. Experience with Govt./Trade Bodies shall be a plus.
About ODOP :
The ODOP Initiative is aimed at manifesting the vision of the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India to foster balanced regional development across all districts of the country. The idea is to select, brand, and promote One Product from each District (One District One Product) of the country for enabling holistic socioeconomic growth across all regions.
Key Responsibilities
Be a part of the Core Team for strategizing and implementing the ODOP initiative at the national level for a 360 improvement in the supply chain of the chosen products. The idea is to boost domestic manufacturing and promote products as synonymous to the districts they are produced in
- Understand issues affecting artisans, farmers, producers, traders, corporates
- Facilitate interactions between the Central Government, State Governments, Industry Associations, e-Commerce players, and Producers for boosting production
- Propose and implement the design, packaging, and branding solutions for improving the product demand
- Identify technologies and startups that can support traditional methods of production
- Analyse data relating to Indian and Global markets for tapping the export potential
- Strategize to increase awareness & promote entrepreneurship in identified businesses
Qualifications
- Candidate with 2-6 years of work experience in Consulting Firms, Industrial Design Firms, Supply Chain Conglomerates, Trade Bodies/Associations, Government-interface roles
- Candidate with a proven academic record at premier institutes such as IITs/IIMs
- Creative thinking with the ability to use data-driven insights to strategize & execute plans
- Strong commitment to accuracy and professionalism
- Excellent market research, organizational, and learning skills
- Ability to work amid strict deadlines and on multiple projects
- Knowledge of any handicraft, e-commerce, supply chain, agriculture shall be a plus
- Knowledge of vernacular Indian languages shall be helpful
