About the Department
Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department of Promotion for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior officials in executing the objectives of the Textile Desk and implementing strategies for textile sector growth.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to coordinate promotional events, investment roadshows, and policy advocacy initiatives. Support in upcoming events such as Bharat Tex 2024.
- Respond to investor queries and support with all information, financial analysis, location identification, stakeholder interactions, FDI regulations and other regulatory requirements for doing business in India.
- Conduct research and analysis to support evidence-based decision-making, including market intelligence and competitive assessments.
- Prepare and maintain relevant documentation, reports, and databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Maintain a database of target investors based on market intelligence and intel from various sources such as industry databases, news, and networks.
- Support the senior officials in fostering relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring effective communication within the team.
- Work on resolution of queries and grievances in stipulated time
- The role is completely on-site (from Ministry of Textiles and/or Invest India office) and may require domestic/ international travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree , MBA is a plus
- Experience of working with Central and State Government Departments in Investment and Trade Promotion
- Prior experience in Textiles industry is a plus.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical expertise in MS Office – Power point, Excel
