Invest India organised a roadshow for delegation from TECC (Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre), Taiwan industry players and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), Chennai to visit Telangana to meet government officials and interact with industry players to understand the eco-system and potential of Telangana state for investors from Taiwan. Delegates included Director General TECC - Ben Wang, Susan Lauren Liu (Director) and Ian Lee (Manager, TAITRA, Chennai).

Telangana's Industries and Information Technology Minister, K.T. Rama Rao mooted the idea of first Taiwan specific industrial cluster in India to attract more investments from Taiwan. The discussions went around promoting Telangana as a destination for Taiwanese investments. The Taiwan delegation was also hosted at T-Works: India’s largest prototyping center to give them a flavour of the innovation capacity arising in Telangana. Visits were made to industrial clusters and a showcase of modern production lines were showcased for solar PV manufacturing and optical fibre manufacturing.
