PMG has been regularly conducting state review meetings to get definite timelines for resolution of issues pertaining to mega infrastructure projects, which are pending with different state governments. These review meetings are attended by central ministry officials, senior officials from the concerned State Government, District Collectors and Project Proponents. Recently, five State Review Meetings were conducted by PMG with the State Governments of Jharkhand, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh. Officials from Cabinet Secretariat were also present, and they provided their inputs in each of the meetings.

The state review meetings with Jharkhand, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, and Uttar Pradesh were chaired by Sumita Dawra, Additional Secretary, DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. Issues pending in projects spanning across major sectors including Railways, Roads & Highways, Oil & Gas, Coal, Power, Renewable Energy, Steel, Cement, were discussed at length in these meetings.

The Jharkhand review meeting was co-chaired by Uma Shankar Singh, Director, Department of Revenue, Registration, and Land Reforms, Government of Jharkhand. 30 Issues in 9 projects, having a total investment value of INR 76,636.98 crores were discussed and well-defined timelines were given by the State Government officials for resolution of all the pending issues.

The Telangana review meeting was co-chaired by Sunil Sharma, Special Chief Secretary, Energy Department, Government of Telangana. 55 Issues in 14 projects, having a total investment value of INR 28,193.98 crores were discussed. As a result of this review, 9 issues across 6 projects were resolved.

The Chhattisgarh review meeting was co-chaired by Manoj Kumar Pingua, Principal Secretary, Department of Commerce & Industry, Government of Chhattisgarh. 35 Issues in 14 projects, having a total investment value of INR 59,046.54 crores were discussed. 8 issues across 5 projects were resolved

The Uttar Pradesh review meeting was co-chaired by Sh. Suresh Chandra, Additional Chief Secretary, Planning & Programme Implementation Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh. 36 issues in 17 projects, having a total investment value of INR 1,41,023.94 crores were discussed. Well-defined compliance timelines were given for all pending issues.

The state review meeting with Andhra Pradesh, was chaired by Amrit Lal Meena, Special Secretary, DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. It was co-chaired by Karikal Valevan, Special Chief Secretary, Industry & Commerce Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh. 64 issues in 26 projects with investment value of INR 68,424.38 crores were taken up. Out of these, 3 issues across 3 projects were resolved and well-defined compliance timelines were given for all pending issues.
