One District One Product (ODOP) Team at Invest India, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India is committed to select, brand and promote one product from each district of the country with a vision to accelerate economic growth, generate employment, and promote rural entrepreneurship by transforming every Indian district into a major manufacturing-cum-exports hub.
ODOP Team has successfully conducted numerous Buyer Seller Meets in different cities/states all over India. Through BSM, the intent has been to increase the market access for sellers and buyers to engage and identify authentic sourcing/procuring opportunities, end-to-end facilitation through simplified logistics and shorter lead times, quality standardisation of products, and facilitation of Letter of Intent (LOI) between Businesses and sellers. BSMs have also facilitated Business to Government (B2G) interactions, which have assisted in identifying challenges/bottlenecks for sellers/businesses and to work collaboratively towards a solutions thereof.
KOLKATA BUYER-SELLER MEET
The ODOP team in collaboration with Directorate of Horticulture Planning & Marketing, Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir is organising a Buyer-Seller Meet (BSM) in Kolkata, West Bengal on 3rd December 2022, to facilitate trade for varied unique horticultural and agricultural products from the state of Jammu & Kashmir in association with Directorate of Horticulture Planning & Marketing, Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir.

Kolkata BSM presents an opportunity to interested businesses/buyers to trade in unique agricultural and horticultural raw material or processed products from Jammu & Kashmir. The sellers at the BSM have been vetted by Directorate of Horticulture Planning & Marketing, Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir. During the event, Letter of Intent (LoI) will be signed for fast-track trade facilitation.
Various unique horticultural and agricultural products will be showcased such as Aromatic plants, walnuts, rajmah, natural oils, saffron, honey, basmati rice, apple and organic vegetables. Given the agro-climatic conditions and the terrain, a rich variety of horticulture products are produced in Jammu & Kashmir, having medicinal properties and many health benefits.
The Kolkata BSM will be an opportunity for potential buyers and authentic sellers to engage and explore business opportunities for better market outreach.
