About the Department

 

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency. It is a joint venture between the Department of Promotion for Internal Trade & Industry (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry and State Governments. It hosts teams working with various Govt. initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNIi, and PMG.

We are seeking candidates who have a passion for world-class research and building research-driven documents, analyses, programmes, and platforms that are path breaking in their field. You will join a dynamic and highly intellectual team delivering the best-in-class research work at some of the most important areas of development and policy.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Conceptualising and developing research ideas
  • Working with research partners to gather data
  • Developing reports, papers, talking points and all allied documentation related to that data
  • Building stakeholder networks
  • Organising outreach for the research
  • All work will involve multiple stakeholder management

Qualifications

 

The candidate(s) should have very high enthusiasm for the rigour of public policy documentation, world-class research skills, and exceptional writing skills. The candidate should possess:

  • A Master’s degree (or higher) in economics, political science, and/or international relations
  • Extremely strong understanding of the nuances of the Indian economy and its key sectors
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research is necessary. Best-in-class editing skills  
  • Ability to manage research projects end-to-end
  • Adept at stakeholder management
  • Adept at organising research roundtables and publishing research documents
  • Developing multilateral action plans, nationally and internationally, driven by the research agenda and through suitable outreach involving all relevant stakeholders.
  • Experience in economic research and report writing
  • Expertise in writing in English and preferably also Hindi

 

Prior work in government, academia, social-sector would be a bonus.
